I've spent 20+ years helping leaders figure out not just what they want to build - but how to actually build it. That work has taken me from international development to Big 4 consulting to boutique advisory, and the throughline has always been the same: strategy only works when the people and systems behind it do too.

About the logo
The M in the Miller Advisory mark is in my father's handwriting. He was a small business owner who built something real and led with care for the people around him. He passed from ALS in 2011. His example inspires everything I do.
My background
I started my career in international development - managing federal contracts across Eurasia & East Africa, building partner networks, and learning early that the most important variable in any initiative isn't the strategy. It's the people executing it, and the systems either supporting or working against them.
That instinct carried me through an MBA from Duke's Fuqua School of Business, into Big 4 consulting at Deloitte, and eventually into the work I do now. Along the way I've led culture and change efforts for organizations with 165,000 people, managed M&A integrations, stood up new functions from scratch, and served as Chief of Staff to a C-suite executive overseeing a $20M budget.
What I've learned is that the work that actually moves organizations forward - building accountability, designing for clarity, developing leaders, creating cultures where people can do their best work - is the essential, foundational work beneath every thriving organization.
“Nobody personifies our Team Fuqua values better than Jennifer Miller. Through everything she has done the last two years, we have become better.”
- Russ Morgan, Fuqua Senior Associate Dean

Beyond the resume
I grew up in Michigan, have 5 siblings, studied international relations, spent a year teaching high school in Japan, and have worked in 13 countries across 3 continents.
These days I'm chasing my kids and dog around Raleigh, slowly convincing my husband to get chickens, and serving as a graduation speaker for Raleigh Neighborhood College's Class of 2026. I care deeply about community and I love working with companies that are building something meaningful in it.
Experience
From startups to Fortune 500, AI deployments to culture design, Washington to Nairobi - I've led operations and people work in environments that don't come with a playbook. Every chapter has sharpened the same core skill: making complex organizations work better for the people in them.
